I love Cole driving left and shooting the pullup from the elbow.

So, just to be clear....."Cole doesn't look like a bad shooter...." equals "This board's obsession with Cole"?
Cool.
No. I didn't say that. This board's obsession equals this boards obsession. That's just a very tangible example that happens to have stats to back it up of the bias this board has. There have also been comments like "We need to leave Cole in here" late in the game and there was somehow a real argument about whether he had a good game against Detroit. He had 4 points, 1 rebounds, 3 assists, a block, and 2 turnovers(plus caused AD's IIRC) in 8 shots on 27 minutes. Thats terrible.
OK, he is decent at defense. But even that is surely being exaggerated. If people start running on and on about player A shooting well and playing good defense, and a little research shows that he is objectively not shooting well, wouldn't you expect their opinion on his defense to be overly favorable as well?

Fair enough, the stats show that he didn't have a very good offensive output vs Pistons. Actually pretty bad, but he is still better than Austin "I'm fricking lost as shite out here, hope my dad comes to pick me up soon" Rivers. The board jut doesn't know what to do with its self. We actually have some guys on the bench who understand NBA basketball and what is expected of them. Even if the shooting is off, they have the knowledge to hang in on D or help create space.

I'm excited about it too. And I guess maybe I shouldn't have titled it Obsession. I just find it odd. He was a mediocre NBA backup in Miami who Miami fans couldn't stand because he was having to start. He's been a mediocre NBA backup in New Orleans who New Orleans fans love because he's replacing D Leaguers.

It's all in your perspective brother. When you're wealthy SPAM is pretty gross, when you're poor and hungry its gourmet. Glad to have you with us.

Sean Kelly: What do they say? I know some of it's by example, but surely there have to be words involved.
Monty: A lot of it I don't even know about. I'm sure the conversations in the locker room, the way they go about their business. What I do see from those guys in the huddles are they're talking about defense and possessions, and take the good with the bad, those type of things we haven't heard from anybody other than the coaches, and our guys are like "Ok, this is that stuff that we've heard about" and it's been a breath of fresh air, enlightening for all of us to have guys like that.
