We'd have more then 4 losses. Let's not forget it was guard play that held us back most of the year. Having JOB back wouldn't have changed that. Now I think we wouldn't have lost to Mizzou or MSU if we had JOB. During both of those games we had long droughts where we didn't score, and I think Johnny could've been the guy we could count on to get a bucket when nothing is working.

It would have cut down on M&M's minutes most likely so that is a plus.
More than likely would have prevented Patterson from getting any playing time. Gray would still be the PG (since team wins more games with JOB3) and TQ would still be coming off the bench.

Respectfully disagree. Have seen every game and half of those live. The majority of the turnovers and defensive lapses have been in the front court. Yes, Auburn was the huge exception but interior defense, rebounding, and front-court turnovers were huge in the majority of the 9 losses.

Or Clemson, or aTm at home or last night. That's my take.

bullshite. Having a NBA big will make ANY team better. Having a consistent low post player relieves some of the pressure, to have great games, off of.the guards

I'd personally rather have JOB III than Darcy freaking Malone getting minutes, so I'm gonna say better

Idk bro the offense wouldn't be exactly how it is now with him because more would go through him. On paper yea it looks better but it could actually worse if it's not done right.

Before Mickey's slump the past few games, I think you could argue that our starting 5 was better without him in it. It wasn't that JOB was a bad player or hurt the team, but the offense went through him for him at the cost of the strengths of the rest of the team.

Not true. The offense went through him because he was our most consistent scorer.

Not having the offense we have now may be an argument FOR JOB. At times our offense is stagnant as hell and JOB was the type of player who could get a basket when we really needed one.

JOB was clearly better in terms of physicality and low post scoring. He was also a black hole on offense. He was going to the basket regardless of double teams. There was even less offensive flow last year.

I believe we would be better on defense. Man, on offense I hate the way JOB held the ball and never passed. I don't know if we would be better necessarily on offense but I think the depth helps. Overall he would be a plus but could Johnny get him to play better team ball on O?

The addition of Hornsby probably takes some pressure off JOB as well as M&M maturing. Yea the more I type the more we could have certainly used him.

Better. Aside from the fact that he could ball, he would probably be the vocal veteran voice for the young guys. This team lacks leadership desperately.

I dont understand why people are bashing the OP. This was a highly debated topic when JOB declared for the draft. Maybe it was an overreaction at the time but many people said he would be better without him.
