louisiana got uber later than many states and so its behind the curve.

With this hybrid insurance being new, I pretty sure that it's not available in a ton of states.

well, i got an offer to do a movie for 8-12k. but i had to fly to dc and they wouldnt give me details. I think it was a human trafficking scam. so, its not the most dangerous offer ive ever been offered.

Ac was broke in one car, guy couldn't get us to the destination, et

the destination thing ive experienced because the drivers all seem foreign and not familiar with the area. even with a gps

Don't drive like a dummy and you're set.

Then work for a cab company where you will be protected.

I'm not trying to be a jerk, but I honestly don't think it's the best option for a young female.

The fact that it's cashless is a good thing, but there's still an element of risk.

Be particular.

If you're looking to make extra money - buy an olaf suit (from frozen) and go to birthday parties for kids, etc. I read about some dude paying $200 for the suit and raking in $800/month working 4 days a week.

Now admittedly I'm relatively new to LIVING in LA, not just going to school... but wouldn't the drunk be responsible for medical issues?

Or is LA's insurance all backasswards?

That's about what I've figured and is partially the reason why I haven't gone farther in the registration process. Like I said I'm not looking to do it as legit job. I'm a generally boring person so the odds of me doing something fun and exciting on nights and weekends is pretty low. My girlfriend also lives about 3 blocks from downtown Lafayette, so realistically I could just hang out at her house and hope to pickup rides from downtown I suppose. If I go through with it I get the feeling I'll try it for a week or so, decide it isn't worth my time and go on with my life.

I had a driver in DC who asked "What's the address?" to take me to Reagan... and another who asked, "What is address to Union Station?" and I was drunk so I angrily replied, "I don't fricking know, 1 fricking Union Station fricking drive, Washington, fricking, DC"

I had to deal with a cab company about a decade ago when one of their employees nearly killed me. I was told by them that I should sue him because it was driver error and he is an independent contractor.

Finally just settled with my insurance and they had to sue everyone.

When it first started in BR, it seemed like it was younger college guys with decent wheels.

I think those guys have all moved on.

If I could do it 2-3 nights a week, cover fuel, monthly insurance and a fifth of Makers I'd be pleased.
