Anyone fly Allegiant fron MSY to Orlando? They have really good prices but is this one of those airlines that charge you for every little thing ?

Haven't tried them yet, but I do know that they fly to the smaller airport in Orlando, SFB. About 40-45 mins away from the theme parks, as opposed to 20 from MCO.

Didn't know they had another commercial airport. Does the Disney shuttle deal run out of there?

No

Here is a thread on Trip advisor about getting to Disney from SFB.

Allegiant charges for EVERYTHING. Woman's purse too big? It's a carry on charge. Want to print your tickets? It's a charge. Etc.

If you want to check a bag. GTFO.

I've recently flown Allegiant and Southwest. Both from AUS to Vegas. Southwest wins by a mile

Used to fly FLL to Knoxville. Allegiance was great. Always on time. Don't remember them nickle/diming for every little thing. Maybe they've changed.

Allegiant flies direct to Eugene from Mesa Gateway Airport here in Arizona so when I go up to visit or for a football game, I almost always opt to fly US Airways or Southwest to Portland with a two hour drive down to Eugene instead of Allegiant's direct flight.

One of the biggest factors for me, is the dates are very limited when you can fly. Sometimes the only PHX to EUG flights are Friday and Monday so that's two vacation days burned for travel. I prefer to fly up to Portland say Wednesday night after work and come back Sunday night which US Airways and Southwest give me the option to do. Also, with the fees tacked on with Allegiant (charges for carry on now and I always pay to reserve a seat), I don't save much in the end.

Just make a mock reservation up to the point you have to pay and you will get a good idea of what fees Allegiant will tack on and what price to expect.
