I say "No, No! Bad dog!" then i tell him what he did wrong and explain why he shouldn't do it.

I don't hit dogs. A firm voice saying no is enough, and then ignore or "shun" them.

If I had a dog I'd just punish it by putting it outside and letting it whimper. Seems easy.

I think rubbing a dog's nose in his own shite or piss is fricked up

I used to put my dog's face near whatever he had done (shite, piss, chew up something, etc..)

worked great.

Depends on the situation. Haven't ever hit him in the face just nailed his arse and raised my voice. Now if I just raise my voice he lies down and rolls on his back.

It is. They have no fricking clue why you're doing that to them.

This pretty much works with my dog as well. I am her go to person and it's obvious she doesn't like it when she knows I am upset with her. I count myself lucky as I've got a good old dog.

We had a small dog growing up. My dad would whip it's arse like it was a child. Lol

I can fuss at my Frenchie and she crumbles. No problem with her.

I've whipped the GS, Labs, and the shiteater with a piece of 3/4" PVC pipe once each. I've never had a problem with the dogs since their arse whipping(s). Say what you will , but corporal punishment works.

My Frenchie is the exact same. It doesn't take much at all. My Ridgeback used to require a little more than that but he's coming around to just the verbal stuff.

whipping a dog with PVC pipe is messed up. I'd like to beat you with a PVC pipe.
