Sorry to see him go. He belongs in the Saints Hall of Fame. It's only a matter of time.

personally, more sad than deuce.

Damn. This hurts, more than about any other saint leaving I can remember. Including Deuce.
I'll go on record as saying they have under used him last year.
Hopefully we cut ingram as well, draft a back, and pick up a cheapo in free agency to go with Khiry.

I feel like the scene in Apollo 13:
"Farewell Aquarius, and we thank you."
PT is a straight-up, no BS guy. Sorry to lose him as Brees and the Royal Guards must be lavished upon.

Sadly, in the NFL, players rarely play their entire careers for one team.
PT is a special Saint, and always will be. A class act from day 1 and as hard-working and dedicated to his craft as any player to put on a helmet.
He showed others that it doesn't matter if you aren't drafted. If you work hard and have confidence, you can suceed in life.
He is a Saints Hall of Famer, and one of the best to ever put on a jersey for this team - not all due to his on field contributions, but off field as well.
Sad to see you go, PT, but thank you for the excitement and the plethora of memories in your storied Saints career.

yeah, it seemed like he was the go-to-guy in the backfield once Deuce left. Can't think of any other back who consistently made plays running and catching the ball out the backfield.
he had a helluva run.
is he still the only Saints RB to ever run for over 100 yards and catch for over 100 yards in one game? He ripped the Bears in the '07 finale for something big time along those lines. We lost the game... but still that was a heck of game for him and pretty much put everyone on notice that he was going to be around for awhile.

This. I've said this for years. Never seen a back get more out of a screen play than PT. He'll be missed. Best of luck to him.

Pierre will end up with the falcons and make the saints pay.

One of if not the lease selfish players on the roster.. Very productive. Can't believe we couldn't find room for him over some of the others... And now we shop Lofton!!? Wtf are they doing. He is the best defensive player we have!!!

I disagree here.....He was used quite well last year, and wasn't used more often because Ingram was our #1 back and he filled that role quite well.....I will say that a few years prior to last year that he could have been used more as a primary #1 back, but one thing that kept him from getting used more last year was injuries, and in 2013 he started off strong but then slowed down a good bit as the season went on
PT was great person and professional for the Saints....Said to see him go, but I don't necessarily hate the move

When's the last time the Saints board got 9 pages worth of concensus on a player?
Pierre is beloved, my favorite Saint of the Drew Brees era.

This. One of only maybe 2 Saints I'd actually go out and buy a jersey for. This sucks.

Yeah I haven't seen one person say he sucks, pretty much everyone agreed he was very cost effective, and most people have said he is one of their favorite Saints. And everyone will miss him.

This.
Maybe Robinson can catch screens.
Pierre was the best screen man.

Love Pierre a great player to watch but 30 year old running backs just are not a safe investment.
Wish him well.
