Im going to reserve judgment to see what we do with our RBs first. Pierre was good, but he was definitely slowing down. Im mainly concerned with our leadership, as we saw what happened last year when we cut ties with all those guys on defense.

I hope it's not to free up money for Mark Ingram or Reggie Bush.

I have confidence in Khiry as our 1.

I'm not sure Cadet is the answer, but I def think he has a role in the passing game.

In free agency, I like Antone Smith, Helu, & Vereen. CJ spiller seems like a pipe dream. Quizz Rodgers may be worth a look too, as well as Bilal Powell

in the draft, I think a guy like Abdullah would be the top target. After that, a few SEC guys i really like. Mike Davis was great in the screen game at SCe. Terrence Magee and TJ Yeldon also have impressed me in the passing game at times in their respective careers. And lastly Josh Robinson as a late round flier.

Doesn't seem to be stopping us from keeping Colston who is less efficient than PT

While I disagree with this move, these really aren't very valid comparisons. RBs are less valued than receivers and Colston is supposedly restructuring (like PT did last year). It is beneficial cap wise if we can find a way to make Colston work this year and cut him next

Problem with that is you guys have been drafting (and failing) guys that run a power scheme. You guys just signed a high priced power guard last year.

You can want to run zone blocking but that doesn't mean you will be good at it. Have fun watching your fat, slow linemen fail at it.

If this is a rob Peter to pay Paul and we sign Ingram. frick. US.

That would piss me off worse than the move to draft Stinkram.

Seriously frick this move and this team. First Sproles and now one of the most productive, underused great running backs in the game. I became less of a Saints fan today.

Look, we all know that his production has dipped in recent years (late 2013 and seeing it in 2014), but for 1.7mil...there's better ways to save money (i.e. cutting bush 0 dead cap).

That's why I think this move was more about clearing the backfield for Ingram rather than clearing cap room.

Ingram: "I want more snaps in both the passing and run game. Give that to me and I'll sign for 3yr/10mil"

They saved a measly $1.75M by cutting him. You aren't going to replace PT for that much.

This times 1000!!

I know you can't keep them forever but he had to have something left in the tank.

cut pierre only to shell out a lot more for ingram?

Sproles 2.0

Will be ironic if he signs with Carolina, Atlanta, or Tampa.

Big picture man. You're thinking one for one. This is just one piece.

Which I vehemently disagree with.
