warm weather had the devil's kiddos out and active today. that damn moccasin was on a branch right at pecker-level. thats also the fattest copperhead i think i've seen

Man I remember when Toledo went from being 12' below pool to full in about three days, and there were balls of fire ants everywhere! I poked one with my rod and the whole thing went under. Ants started running up my rod so fast it was ridiculous, it gives me the chills thinking about falling in one of them.

I was in Toledo Bend in a rented boat when I was in HS and it wasn't til we were about 200 yds from shore we realized it was full of fire ants.
