Aren't they already in NM? When the cops knocked on his door I thought they said "Albuquerque PD".

Yes they are in NM.

I guess he meant from the flashback until now.

Saul was Tuco's attorney aka money laundering guy IIRC.

Saul came after Tuco.

They looked into hiring Saul after Badger got busted distributing because Tuco was no longer available to distribute.

Ah, yes. Awesome, thanks!

Maybe I am confused, but I think it was episode 2 when

1. Jimmy is in jail in NM;

2. Jimmy call mom who tells Chuck;

3. Chuck comes to NM (my recollection is Chuck came from Illinois) and visits Jimmy in jail;

4. Chuck agrees to represent Jimmy in NM.

Did Chuck come from Illinois or was he already in NM?

You are confused. You have it backwards.

1. Jimmy is in jail in Chicago - "Chicago sunroof" ring a bell? And Jimmy asks Chuck, "What, am I going to cry on the phone to my mommy in the middle of Cook County Jail?"

2. Jimmy calls their mom who tells Chuck;

3. Chuck comes to Chicago from New Mexico and visits Jimmy in jail;

4. Chuck agrees to represent Jimmy in Chicago if Jimmy promises to quit scamming people and get his life straight.

Presumably, that leads to Jimmy going to law school at The University of American Samoa and then moves to New Mexico to practice law.

My question is was Jimmy an associate at Hamlin-McGill before striking out on his own? There's definitely more to Jimmy's hatred of of Howard and his relationship with Kim.

Her voice kinda does it for me though. One of those things that would be another negative on an ugly chick, but it turns into a positive for a hot chick.

I'm thinking he left whenever Chuck left. Maybe Howard canned him or maybe he left on his own for some reason. Hopefully we find out.
