Everytime a user logs on it tells them its a temporary profile

windows 7, multiple users on one pc. Only one user has this issue... it keeps saying "you are logging into a temporary profile" and all of his desktop icons are gone. Any suggestions?

i will try this. I actually saw that yesterday but was waiting until last to go into reg. Things i have tried with no success
-restarted
-ran checkdisk
-deleted users profile and added back
-even added user to local admins just to see if it would work
guess im diving in the reg now

Is this a network account or stand alone log in?
If a network account is he getting the same temp profile on other machines?

it is network. And he only logs onto one machine. Its our security department pc that has 6 users log into it, the others have no issue.

yup
id usually log on as an admin first then actually go into their profile and check around and then back everything up
before making the world end in reggedit
Not everyone should be fricking around in the registry

i dont let them mess with reg. But im in it now under the "temp profile" and it wont let me delete or rename an entry. Gives me an error
