MacBook Air with no picture

Back light went out because the computer got wet, can still hook up secondary monitor but really don't need it anymore, any suggestions on what to do with it now besides throw it out? Repair cost is $700

Use it as a media center..I set up RDP to access, torrent, stream, etc. to an old Win7 laptop, and hooked it up to the TV via HDMI..I stream from it via XBone..
