May be Germans, but this video is pretty impressive of this QB.

Caleb Lewis highlights

He is a preferred walk-on and I am not sure, but I think he is on campus as a mid-term graduate. He has great stats in HS. Could be interesting!

He will never see the field. What could be so interesting?

Why? It's a legitimate question. When has a walk on ever been interesting?

He is actually very impressive. Quick release. He goes through his progression. strong enough arm. Thanks for the video.

Remember Andrew Hatch? He made things interesting even though not for long. Never know and considering our recent qb history, maybe a walk on is what we need.

think about this, OP..... what's it say about our QB situation that you'd get excited over a walk on.... at LSU... seriously....

this dude will end his "career" with the exact same amount of time on the field as i did...

Colt Brennan, J.J. Watt, Santana Moss (and many others) say hello.

Thanks for being objective. The others are discounting him because he is a walk-on. He is a 6'4" walk-on with obvious skills who expected to be offered by NC State and held out. At the last minute, Clemson was out of scholarships and left him hanging. This is not a typical "scout squad walk-on". Whether or not he is given an opportunity to compete is up to the coaches, but he was told he would. Yes, this could be INTERESTING. Based on what we saw last year, there is a void at the QB position. If Lewis has any degree of consistency, he might be the best QB in the stable.

Personally, I hope Jennings and Harris both have improved tremendously! However, if they look anything like they did in 2014, the coaches better be giving Lewis and McMillan a hard look or it will be another long season!

I absolutely love kids like this. He has a quick release. That's more valuable than most realize. His intelligence would suggest, dare i say it, "game manager." I've long felt teams that are loaded with talent like the LSU's and Bama's of the world are better served with guys that manage the game and don't make mistakes. There is so much talent on that field. We need a guy that can consistently deliver the ball effectively. Chances are he won't see the field, but I'm rooting for him. He walked on and could probably have gone elsewhere on scholarship, so he clearly loves him some LSU. Makes him top notch in my book. I really enjoyed watching his highlights. Seems to have a good arm on him, an elite head on his shoulders, and could be the next Matt Mauck or Matt Flynn. No, not because he is white. Because those are the last two that brought us national titles. We sure are stocking up on QBs. I like it. The cream will rise to the top.

Why is he wasting college on LSU? He should be a QB at Haaavud or Yale or Dartmouth or Cornell - but not Columbia or Brown - they suck!

Tommy Lewis called LSU Caleb’s “dream school.” “I’ve been a fan since I was 7, since that national championship in 2003,” Caleb Lewis said Friday. “I’ve achieved my dream of being an LSU Tiger.”
