For their first game in MLS. Today, it now appears that MLS players will be going on strike.

The MLS will lose all of that momentum if this occurs. Not to mention I probably will never go to an MLS game again (went to one before), and many friends feel that way as well.

I tried to buy mine the other day and it was sold out.

That could be a blessing in disguise for you if this strike happens and runs through the weekend.

This is whole "I am never going to X League game ever again if they strike" faux indignation is a tired meme. It is retarded.

Stub Hub. It is not too pricey for this game.

Right. I mean, you either enjoy going to games enough that you don't mind paying for tickets and spending your time doing that...or you don't. I just don't see where a strike factors in here.

Personally, I live 2 hours from Orlando and although I have always like Orlando City, you could not pay me to go to Orlando.

I like Orlando, but I can see how people can get turned off with Orlando with the over saturated commercialism and tourists.

I was already wavering on going to any MLS games to begin with. Owners and players bickering over money just turns me off from going completely. Until MLS becomes the EPL, I will always be on the fence on going or not.

Do you watch NFL, NBA, NHL, or MLB? If so, you are a hypocrite. They squabble over money every 5 years or whatever CBA terms are.

Well that's fine, but it's obvious you were never that interested in going to begin with. Which, again, is fine, but I just don't really get how a strike could possibly effect whether you actually WANT to go or your actual enjoyment of being there. It sounds like you wanted an excuse, which is also fine. I have mine. Hell I don't even go to Armada games because frick going downtown.

I am also not wavering on going to those games or watching them on TV. My interest in MLS is passive at best. I watch EPL and other leagues way more, and go to plenty of those matches when I am abroad. But Orlando City, being its MLS opener kept me mildly interested to buy a ticket, tailgate, and all of that mess. But a strike is going to piss me off because, #1 no game, #2 gotta deal with a refund, #3 makes me wonder if the MLS will survive this if they are really claiming $100 million lost every year. Seems to be that they could go defunct and a strike will certainly move the league closer to that. So yes, a strike in this situation is different to me.

Just overly frustrated that this would occur the day after I purchase my ticket and I was ready to go. Oh well.

This has been "occurring" for over a month now. To be blunt, it was ignorant for you to buy a ticket yesterday.

I had no idea. Shows how much I was originally interested in MLS?

That's cool, man. We know.

There's been several threads a day here on the MLS strike. Not sure how you missed it.

This seems like you're just trying to stick it to MLS. Orlando City hasn't thrived like they have because of fans driving down from Jax. Everything will be fine. You'll get your refund and Orlando City won't miss your money.
