I'm on an apartment/condo search for next school year (fall of 2015) and was wondering if any of you guys have suggestions of places around LSU that are good choices, I'm at the cottages now and don't particularly like it so it's not really an option. Budget roughly 650$ which I realize won't get you into the nicest places but somewhere pretty decent.

ETA: 650 per person, me and 3 other roommates

Lived there for 2 years, the best place I lived in during college. Between walking to circle k, campus and bogies I really did have to use my car. I still

How do you go about getting in there? Arent they all personally owned or is there a leasing office?

yeah, being able to walk everywhere is really convenient. I'm guilty of still driving to class though it's been amazing for gameday in particular. not having to deal with riverside is nice too

But seriously.... If $650/mth is your budget it sounds like you'll be just fine. Enjoy college. I want to go back

I'll put you in a house on highland less than 500 yds from the north gate for that

Per person or total?

I pay that for a one-bedroom in a quiet condo complex behind all the visible ones off Brightside, but believe me when I say I am lucky as hell I have that. It was the cheapest rent I could find that wasn't a craphole.

Although I do often see "for rent" signs for a couple days in the front, so maybe.

OH.

You'll be fine. You can find a lot of places for this price.

For that budget, I'd look at a house in the Garden District.

Y'all could easily afford one.

Generally speaking, you'll pay more of a premium for living closer to campus. You'd be amazed what that $650 can do for you the further out you go. If you're open to that.

Those East Boyd apartments can't be more than 3 years old and are in an outstanding locataion.
