Not familiar with the contents of weed-b-gone, but it should say on the bag itself whether it's strictly contact herbicides or not and how long to wait until seeding after you apply it

So I cut the grass and did battle with >knee high weeds in the back corner of our backyard last week. With a little rain in the middle part of the week, is it a good idea to get out and seed and aerate this weekend?

You seeding into an existing stand of grass? If so, I'd just scratch the surface to get good soil contact and plant. I'm not aerating my fields just yet. Still in green-up, so I'm not going to stress any existing turf until it is growing season. Especially with this cool snap.

ETA: Core or spike aerating? Spike is less intrusive, so that should be fine to do, then plant.

It's almost compacted Clay in some spots. Uneven topsoil layer thanks to shiteous work by the guy who built my house. Essentially laid sod right over chunked clay...

Tough battle to fight. pH is always going to revert back toward the clay, no matter what you top dress with. So keep an eye on your pH. May not get good response from your lawn no matter how much you fertilize if the nutrients can't be released.

OK so I took the weed free zone advice and am awaiting time for fertilization. What should I use to fertilize?

St. Aug grass.

I spot treated last weekend and today cut and bagged my entire yard on the lowest mower setting, the grass should choke out any weeds.

BTW : It was a bitch and I'll probably have a sinus infection

Use a fertilizer with a 3-1-2 ratio. (15-5-10, etc.) if possible. At about 6-7 pounds per 1000 sq feet.

I put out the normal weed and feed for the back yard, and have a pro come in and use their own weed and feed. I'm a plan for them to keep the front looking good. I mow, but they helped me with a watering schedule ect...

I put weed and feed down 2 weeks ago, cut the grass Saturday. What's my next step?

Can I do this with Scott Bonus S? Spread, cut and rest a couple weeks later.

For what it's worth, I put out a light application the first time

I'm not an expert by any means, but from everything I've read this is the exact opposite of what you are supposed to do. Until the weeds are dead you should cut your grass at the highest setting while not bagging your clippings. The higher grass shades the weeds and will overwhelm it. The grass clippings also act as mulch and smothers the weeds. All that said, every source says something different and your way might be the right one.

Luckily I can hear the water pipe is on from my bedroom. It could be worse... Buttonweed could have made you it's bitch like my yard. This is a pretty accurate portrayal
