Who all on here watches the CBS police drama "Blue Bloods"? My fiancee' and I have been watching it on Netflix the past few weeks and just started Season 3. The acting and story-lines are very well done, and they are able to weave together interesting and cohesive plots. Tom Selleck, Donnie Wahlberg, Bridget Moynahan, Will Estes, Len Cariou and the other actors/actresses do a stellar job and were perfectly cast for the show.

I think what sets it apart from the other police/crime dramas on television is the family aspect of the show, and that's one of the main reasons we are drawn to the show is the strong emphasis on family and how it is central to the show's theme. I love the Sunday dinner scenes in each episode and how close-knit the Reagan family are. True, they don't always get along and butt heads sometimes, but what family doesn't?

I know everyone may not like the show, but I definitely like it. The creators of the show, Robin Green and Mitchell Burgess, were involved in the Sopranos, so that's an added factor to my interest in the show.

I watch and enjoy it, but I feel like a 70 year old man watching it. I like it better than some of the other network procedurals, but that's probably because Magnum PI is in it.

I'd never recommend it, but it's a guilty pleasure of mine (like grimm and backstrom).

How old are you? I thought pretty much everything on CBS was for AARP members.

I tried.

Only cop show I watch right now is 19-2. It's Canadian.

The first episode of the 2nd season from earlier this year was one of the most gripping episodes of TV I've ever seen.

I enjoy it. It's formulaic don't get me wrong, but the dinner scenes are money. I like how they discuss all the different issues at play, and instead of the entire family blindly circle jerking the cop line, they have different opinions and intelligently debate. Tom Seleck's character is right in his wheelhouse, and he knocks it out of the park.

I vomit every single time I remember Walburg is married to that shite eating scumbag pathetic excuse of a human being jenny mccarthy.

Edit: Removed upper case letters from her name because she doesn't deserve them, child murderers don't deserve that respect.

My parents watch this show. The first time I watched it when visiting, I thought it was weird that Tom Selleck had a dad on the show. Tom isn't a spring chicken anymore. So, I looked it up, and the guy that plays the dad is 6 years older than Tom Selleck. That didn't really affect my parents. They seem to enjoy it even more now by making some sort of Brother Dad joke everytime the two are together.

I used to watch it until I changed to Grimm, probably first 3 seasons. A little too feel good at times. I am in my late 40s.

In other words, it's not like a real family at all

There was a show in the early eighties called Eight Is Enough where the actress playing the stepmother was younger than a couple of the "teenage" kids.

And then they all come to the conclusion to circle jerk the cop line.

My main complaint with the show is that it has zero drama or suspense. Everything wraps up nicely in a neat little 60 minute package. Would it kill the show writers to have some kind of multi-episode story arc.
