Futurebirds at Chelsea's on Fri. 3/20

Futurebirds are coming back to Chelsea's on Friday, March 20.
I've seen them a few times, and it's always a great show. They're one of Southern Living's "10 Southern Bands to Listen to", and they stopped by LSU to play a song on campus a few years back.
It'll be well worth the $8 cover.
I got super excited because I saw they're coming through ATX for SXSW, but it looks like they're playing a short set at a venue I wouldn't be able to get in to because I don't have the right pass. Now I just have to convince myself driving into BR for a concert isn't absurd.

Saw them in Athens for the first time last week. Very good show. I like listening to Futurebirds when I just wanna chill and it was every bit as good live.

Yes, they're an Athens band.
The song they performed on campus is titled "APO" and is on the 2010 album "Hampton's Lullaby."

That's awesome. I glad you liked it. I'd love to see them at this concert but realistically doubt I'll be able to get into BR from Austin on a random weekend.

I've seen them at Chelsea's two or three times, and all were awesome. I listen to them pretty regularly on Spotify at work, and most of my friends I've introduced them to have enjoyed the music and the concerts.

They are in Austin as we speak... I think they played their last show yesterday or last night

Pretty awesome. I have never seen that before and I have been a Futurebirds fan for a while. Don't think they play that song anymore though, since Peyton left the band.

Yea I saw that. But I am 3 hours away from there and just got back from a week in NOLA.....where I guess they played the night we left.....too busy to get to Austin....plus its SxSW which is a arse whipping. No way would I go to Austin during that Corporate Shill Show.

I'm minutes from downtown ATX and haven't done any SXSW shows yet. Between daytime and late night shows, different wristband requirements and short sets, it can be a bit to chew.
