Episode 7: The Hunt
With just a few days remaining until Joe Carroll's execution (I miss the weekly reminders of what he did in the opening credits), Ryan and Mike concentrate on a new threat; Max rejoins the task force (she left?, guess I should watch the 2 episodes before this ).

Finally watched the 2 hour show from 3/23.
In all fairness, her daughter had just been stabbed. Judge probably wanted to get to the hospital. It's not like she had the power to push the testimony back a day.
I did like when Mark was with the paralegal and she didn't want to talk because Straus would kill her. He was all, "you must be slow, you're already gonna die."

- I think my favorite part in all of this: the witness is missing. Straus has a right to a "speedy trial" which is true. However the 1 hour deadline to find the witness might be the funniest thing ever said on this show. "The witness who was under an FBI security detail is missing? We don't have time for this shite. What do you think this is - a murder trial for a serial killer?!?! I have more important shite to do. You have 1 hour."

Watched last week's episode. I also am digging the shark serial killer. They'll probably ruin him next episode (this week's) though.

Well they definitely have their most interesting villain yet. Too bad he will probably be gone after next week though. But what is his motivation? He helped Straus out, but then killed him because of the way he had to help him out - it left him exposed. So why help in the first place?
Few highlights from last night:
1) Hacking a car to a dead stop
2) All of NYC is covered in high def traffic cameras
3) This is not unique to this show as it is an awful trope but it always bothers the hell out of me - the point blank shotgun blast to the chest that hits nothing but the body armor and leaves Hardy there lying still with no pain or shortness of breath

new villain is a bad MOFO. Otherwise this series is going to crap quickly.
When they had Mark dead to rites on the ship and he got away My wife was all like "I'm done with this stupid crap"
They have taken a good show and turned it to mush.

This show was never good. From the first season the purpose of the show thread has been to mock the abortion that is The Following.

Anyone who ever thought The Following was a good show has terrible taste in television.

He has to come back. Gollum/Smeagol can't give up his search for the precious.

Episode 8: Flesh and Blood
As the FBI gets closer to a suspect they believe is responsible for the latest murders, Ryan digs deeper, believing the killer is still out there; Joe undergoes an evaluation.

The only thing I can think of at this time is, again....they approach a suspect's home...no backup...just the 3 stooges. Except with the boss Gina this time.
And the neighbor Nancy...that's what you get for butting in to someone else's marriage.

Hadn't she quit at that point? And then came back? So was she an agent or not?
And why didn't Theo just erase all files related to him while he was busy changing all the pictures?

Yeah she quit and came back...just like anyone can at their job. And then, she hands her badge to Hardy.

Because....that would be too easy.
And besides, what kind of name for a serial killer is "Theo"?

I think of the Cosby Show every damn time they say his name

Now..."Bill" on the other hand, would make a great name for a rapist character.

The new killer is by far the best one yet. Of course the writers are doing their best to ruin it. This Ryan/Joe thing is getting freakin STOOOPID.
Am I the only one who thinks Ryan's GF is somehow tied to Joe or one of the others? Just seems like she is trying waaaay to hard to get Ryan to talk.

It passed up stupid a long time ago. When he saw Joe in the basement of that house last night I lol'd

In this show you can never count it out but I doubt it considering how they randomly met.

Then of course she's in the cult. Although...is there any cult anymore? Nobody's following anyone.
There's just this omnipotent killer now.
Who has lots of money and time, apparently.
I laughed out loud at Joe's fantasy of escaping.
