About the only thing that didn't go wrong on defense last year was Galette (and Hicks to a smaller degree). From whatever happened to Jordan and Vaccaro to our injuries at FS to Lewis getting banged up to no one stepping up to take over the second CB job (by far the biggest issue and why CB is the number one must by my and Payton's account).

I the think the problems will be fixed this year. And if we can finally get a cover LB then ship.

Not sure how he would get more than that considering how many RBs are free agents at the moment.

I could see him getting that from a few teams willing to overpay. Granted he may not be as good as some of the others in FA, but he also doesn't have the mileage. Also, could you imagine the damage he could do if he were to go to an NFC South team (ATL or TB).

I'd rather give him that then the stupid contract we gave Graham.

Ingram is worth 3.5-5 a year.

We should've traded Graham when he had all the hype and value.

The writing was on the wall. We should've traded him and used the money/picks/bait to beef up the interior Oline and get another true reciever, like i said a hundred times last off season. Give Brees what he needed to succeed.

We didnt. He had his second worst season in his career, and our oline and receivers sucked, Brees was constantly under pressure and getting sacked, and our season sucked.

I hope it does get fixed this year.

my expectations are fricking dirt though, and I think that's pretty reasonable considering everything last year.

I'm with you, we should've traded him.

that's not a popular opinion amongst your fellow regulars

Mine were dirt as soon as the ink dried on Graham's contract.

We'll see how this offseason goes, but if we do not get a dedicated, complete, top shelf pass blocking center for our oline, and a true scheme fitting CB 1/2. We'll go 8-8 or 9-7 at best. Those two are an absolute must.
