The post I replied to insinuated that the SEC isn't the best football conference and that it's reputation hasn't been earned.

The problem is you and most SEC fans can't differentiate between 2 different arguments. Best of all time or over time vs the best in one particular season. What conference the 2006 or 2007 BCS CG winner is from is completely irrelevant to the 2014 season. But clearly Miss St (who has done nothing every) benefited from that rep.

The SEC is the best conference because it is the deepest, there are more good teams, more good players, but they are not supermen compared to the rest of CFB. and this notion that SEC fans have built up that teams can only b e judged based on the other teams in their conference is just silly. Especially since in the SEC we aren't even playing half the SEC anyway.

nah, the problem was TCU was the better team, but lost head to head to Baylor, so they were kind of painted in a corner. I wonder if Baylor had lost 1 more game, if it might have been different, with TCU as the 1 true champion.

Seeing 41 passing TDs by 2nd and 3rd string QBs irks me haha.

then you should say so, because your posts are conflating the 2 when you bring up the past to counter an argument from last year.

The problem is they are TCU.

Had that been Texas or Oklahoma does anyone really think they would have been passed over?

In the scenario that played out for TCU last year, yes, even Texas and OU would have been left out since they didn't win the conference out right.

Ohio State will have to earn a title next year over their last 5 games.

They have their toughest regular season opponent before they travel to their arch-rival.

Then Conference Championship game, and two playoff games.

Anyone that says they wouldn't earn it with that last five games alone can choke on a dick.
