For example, my mother's best friend, I guess our family friend, her daughter was 28 and we have known her all our life. I was never that close to her, but she died today. She had a blood clot in her brain over a week ago, there was nothing they could do. She had frequent migraines and that's what she thought it was.

She was married with 4 kids. The oldest is 6. The youngest being born in November. What runs through your mind as a father and husband? How can you not let them forget their mother? How do you move on?

Idk, maybe it's not bad things happening to good people, maybe it's just life.

Sucks but it's just the way it is. Sorry for your loss.

That sucks man. I often worry that this will be how I go. I have frequent headaches/migraines as well. Scary shite.

yep

a girl I went to HS with husband died 2 weeks ago

they had 4 kids

its incredibly sad, but it should cause everyone to appreciate their short life here more and also realize how insignificant we all are

Simple and accurate. If you believe in a higher power, then you have to also feel that person served their purpose while they were alive.

I'm so sorry to hear this. I feel your pain. My wife lost a good friend (35 yo) last month in a car accident leaving behind a 4 yo son and a husband. She was one of the kindest people I've ever known; always looking out for others.

It's almost always never fair when someone dies young. Life is pretty indiscriminate that way. Just rally around the family and help however you can, but give them space of needed.

Because we are only here for a very short amount of time compared to the afterlife in heaven.

FIFY. Things happen.

All you can do is plan for it and deal. What runs through my head is need to recheck my will and life insurance numbers.

Without sounding harsh, what does a blood clot have to do with "being good" or the amount of kids one has? Thats a complete non-sequitur

I thought it was random, but my observation over the years proved otherwise. bad things tend to happen more often to good people than bad people.

and there is no such thing as karma. Karma is about feeling comfortable, rather than acknowledging the cold hard truth: he got away with it. people sometimes get what they deserve, but most of the times they don't.

We live in an imperfect world and no one is immune to that imperfection. For those who believe in a higher being, it's great to know that there is something more and better than this broken world.

Yeah I mean it's depressing but I'm not really sad.
