The hospital isn't the one she should be suing and I'll just leave it at that.

Didn't she violate a shitload of hospital SOPs and, as a result, contracted Ebola?

Pham better hope she wins because she will never get another job in the medical field after this. She will be lucky to get a job anywhere if they know who she is.

a hospital where she had worked in Dallas and its parent company failed her when she contracted Ebola while caring for the first person in the U.S. diagnosed with the deadly disease.

This but I think everyone is at fault here but most of all it was Duncan. He lied. Pham should be suing Duncan's family.

Short answer, no.

Hard to stay compliant when CDC changed SOP 5 times in a 10hour period, and that is not an exaggeration.

The hospital didn't provide her with the proper safety gear to protect herself from getting exposed. And in the article she said she wasn't even told right away by hospital staff that Mr Duncan was positive for Ebola...something that should have been made known to all staff caring for him as soon as the hospital knew.

and I'll add, if she didn't sign a medical release of information allowing disclosure to public media, she's going to hand them their arse in court.

This as well. Maybe she is trying to get them for HIPAA violations.

From the article sounds like she is still not 100% from Ebola. Maybe hospital isn't covering all her medical bills now? Or she isn't able to work in the same capacity now because she still isn't feeling well?

Amazing how she was the only person to contract the disease out of everyone else there that worked with the patient. How were the others able to make it through all the excuses you're making for this nurse, nurse?

As she should. After the hospital makes all it's workers watch hours and hours of boring videos about HIPAA.

Or maybe she was pressured into signing a release at the time....when she was nearly dying from Ebola.

But she wasn't....remember Amber Vinson? Another nurse that cared for Duncan that got Ebola?

It said in the article she was one of the primary nurses for Duncan...meaning she spent the most time as a nurse caring for him.

Well, the Ro (R-Nought)for Ebola is thought to be 1.5-2. So if Ms. Pham was only one of two to contract the virus from Duncan, then the virus held to its standard rate of contraction.

Their equipment was inadequate, and exposed the workers to the potential to contract the virus. Typically, 1 infected person infects 1.5-2 other people. Phan and Vinson were those people.
