i get sec network plus on my roku. Try uninstalling the watchesspn app if you can and then reinstalling it. This is under streaming channels sports section. Just do this too, on cox create a new cox email account. You can make several.. You'll probably just need your account number .. Then use the new email you made and new pass as your log in and select cox as provider. Try both these steps if you can.

Also check your settings under system and see if you have latest system
Update or consider a reset. Also if you have an android or constable device see if you can just mirror to your roku from your Watchespn app on these devices.

I hope you figure it out. I'm sure one of these things should help.

get the roku 3. its more expensive but who cares.

Got the Roku 3 for $85.50 at Walmart. I was going to buy online today and pick up tomorrow. When I was just about to complete the transaction I noticed that it said first pickup time was 3/11.

I called and the guy I was talking to found two in the back. They were $99 when I went to get it I told him my plan to buy online because it was cheaper. He said show me on your phone and we'll match. $86 is not bad.

I searched apps on my TV today to make sure it didn't have watchespn. I found a free movie site - Crackel - that has the series "The Shield". I noticed Roku also has Crackel. I will hook it up tomorrow so I can be ready for Friday's game at 7:00.

I have the same issue and yes, Cox has no clue...they say ESPN is the problem. ESPN says it is Cox. Glad the series this weekend is on CST so it isn't an issue...just means I can't watch today since I am unable to attend.

Have you tried the methods I suggested?

Try using another login with cox to use after you uninstall watchespn and reinstall it..

I have cox and it works for me on roku.

Bump... I just checked and the games aren't listed on WatchESPN anymore. Any reason why? I don't live in an area with CST, so I don't think a blackout would be the issue.

I have Apple TV and would not trade it for anything. Has all the apps you need (watch espn, ufc tv, ect) plus you can buy / rent movies/tv shows and you have access to your entire itunes library.

It looks like the games are also being televised by a station called ROOT Sports Southwest and that may be available on Direct TV, DISH etc depending on what package you have.

It's available on AT&T uverse in Houston. It's the channel that picked up the Rockets games.

It shows Houston game being televised on the 11th and the Baylor game the 10th. Nebraska looks like the only live game broadcasted on that channel.

Hoping my cox internet allows me to get basic cable if I plug it into my tv but I doubt that is the case.

I have the channel. I remember getting an email from DirecTv last year saying I could now watch the Rockets and Astros again. I'll have to try to find the channel. Hopefully, they will show the LSU games.

Thanks

Anyone know if DirecTV will blackout the games on Root in the Cox area (NO, BR, etc.)?

This is on the home page of the Root website.

"7:00 PM Houston College Classic '15 - Houston vs. LSU (Alternate Channel)"

The Root website has the Houston Cougar emblem on the left side.

I looked last night and there are two channels for 674 (HD & standard) and two channels for 674-1. Hopefully the 674-1 is the alternate and will show the LSU game. The DirecTv guide didn't list the LSU game and the main 674 is showing the Rockets.

There six different Root channels - 659, 674, 683, 684, 687, & 688 on DirecTv. I don't remember if all of them have the "-1" alternate? channels.

I will keep my fingers crossed all day that I can get the game.
