Cunningham/QPon/Cole have played a big role in this success recently and were acquired for non contributors.

Ajinca and Babbitt have also helped as well for sure.

Went from only 6 deep to a fairly solid 9-10 deep roster.

Absolutely. I truly think that he has truly built a retry damn solid bench considering what little he has traded away for it. I absolutely think Dell should be here for awhile.

If only demps could've given monty guys of this caliber to come off of the bench at the beginning of the season...

Not getting it straightened out til the midpoint will be what keeps the pels out of the playoffs.

Also LOL at jimmy smith:

"Sorry, folks, trading for Norris Cole isn't going to elevate the Pelicans to postseason challenger." - Jimmy Smith

"There's absolutely nothing about which to be excited with this transaction." - Jimmy Smith

Dante had legal trouble and didn't get it clear for months

Cole wasn't available at the time

Q-pon kind of fell out of favor in memphis

Dell had to do these deals at the right timing. He got an oppurtunity and got these guys(along with ajinca developing)

Monty has proven he can do very well with a depleted team but we'll see how he does when the big guns return.

Yeah, but this team pre-Norris Cunningdexter still should not have lost games to Charlotte, New York, Boston, and Philly....in the same two week stretch.

If they don't make the playoffs, Monty is gone.

Not if we go something like 47-35 with an injury depleted roster, only to miss the playoffs bc the top 8 teams in the west all have 50 wins.

And I'm very anti-Monty. But he's not getting fired in the scenario

I'm not so sure about that.... if we end up with 45-48 wins and just miss, that's exactly where a lot of people though this team would end up before the season started anyway..... I'm not the biggest Monty fan but you have to look at the progression since we lost Paul.... he's gone from 21, to 27, to 34 and now on pace for roughly 45 wins..... as much shite as everyone gives him, we ate absolutely trending in the right direction

Absolutely. Honestly I think monty is learning as well. If we get mid 40s wins with the injuries we have had, I'd definitely give him another year.
