I'm so confused on deciding to get a fire tv box or fire stick with xbmc. I want a fire stick with xbmc for our bedroom but I don't know if it's going to buffer a lot or if it's going to mess up or should I pay more for a fire tv box.

Stick for the bedroom. Firetv if you have a surround sound system in the living room.

Buffering would only be caused by an inadequate internet connection. Fwiw I have both of my fire TVs hard wired while the sticks only work on WiFi

I have a few sticks, and a good internet connection and good wifi router, and never have buffering issues. Considering a fire tv in the media room for the 5.1 capability.
