I am telling you, right now, aTms defense was bad because of coaching.

I am telling you for the 4th time you don't know what the frick you are talking about.

The rank in the bottom 4 in ESPNs rankings: DBs DEAD LAST, LB bottom 4, DL 9th,

Their current SEC caliber talent consist of Myles Garrett and Armani Watts......with incoming Mack......they missed on every stud DB in Texas last year and Malik Jefferson.

They picked up a LB committed to ULL....

However, the fact that the points they did score were enough for the lead late with 1 or 2 minutes left means the fault falls squarely on the defense.

Wrong. Lsu had decent offenses in 2006,07,09,2011,2013.

and its a damn shame cuz he has nfl talent all over the OL and skill positions

Its a damn shame Miles has top 5 win% in sec history and the #1 ooc win % in sec history ( 100 games coached). He achieved these great #'s during the most successful era of sec football, EVER. Thats great win % spans 4 offensive coordinators and 4 def coordinators.

You can blame the offense just as much here.....

Not when the game is lost with the defense on the field.

we run the gopher, look at me offense with no passing game. That's not what you described.

We pass the ball when we have a qb that can execute.

TOP doesnt mean the defense will be good. The defense also has to stop the other team.

You have no clue what youre talking about. If your offense has a huge amount of possession, your defense isnt ON THE FIELD TO GIVE UP YARDAGE. Why posters like you cant understand this is beyond me. If you have a big TOP on offense, your defense can give up a td every possession and still have decent defensive TOTALS because they weren't on the field to give up yards.

No. Points per play is total points.

No its not. Its illustrates how effective and efficient you are at scoring. Scoring 14 points on 20 plays isnt the same as scoring 14 points on 8 plays.

06,07,13..The others??? Not so good... Face it Miles offense is just as much to blame for the D woes of the Tigers... You make it sound like MLES is some kind of offensive guru...Hardley the case and you can't argue it. No way no how............

Did you really just say all i have to go to is a top 5 win % in the entire history of the sec?
You just said all i have is his great win/loss record.WHICH IS ALL THAT MATTERS

I never once said either was to blame. Football is a TEAM SPORTS. Wins and Losses are TEAM ACCOMPLISHMENTS.

Ive never come close to saying this, typing thisn or even thinking this.
Do you just take peoples posts and put your little spin on it and then ask them why they think that?

Hardley the case and you can't argue i

Never tried to.
You also cant argue that Miles' tenure has bee ln the most successful 10 year stretch in lsu history.

If lsu is winning and the other team drives down the field and wins the game, while the defense is on the field, thats on the defense. Could the offense have scored more? Yes but this is true for any game where the offense didnt score a td on every possession. Did the offense score enough to win? YES.
Did the defense make a stop to win the game? NO.

Its no different than the defense getting a stop late in the game and the offense failing to score the winning points.
This has also happened.
