Most people don't like when their biased opinion is destroyed by facts.

He felt concern that Miles may be on the way out and wanted job security which Alleva would not give him.

This is like the VP wanting to stay on if the President loses an attempt at re-election. It usually doesn't happen. How many times does the DC stay on, really?

feel sorry for him because most D Coordinators have easy jobs. Most teams have offenses that score 40 points per game, especially in the SEC.

1 sec team scored 40 a game and it was Georgia at 40.2. Come on

Recalibrate the sarcasm meter.

The only thing under unnecessary strain is Chief's belt.

Another dumbass using totals which is skewed by plays ran. Lsu was 12th in the country in yards per play and 9th in points per play but 105th in plays ran. Only 11 teams in all of cfb had better success, than 2013 lsu, when the ball was snapped.

and tell me, how was the offense in the other 5 years? or are you and your buddies chile and beefense going to keep harping on 2013. (which , by the way, if you had read the thread, I have already addressed the 3 losses in 2013)

um no. your own facts show that he was above average. if there are 128 FBS teams, an average defense would rank around 60. only one stat you provided, LSUs 2013 3rd% was in this area. all the other statistics indicate that LSUs defense was "above average".

With NFL talent.
Congrats on doing the bare minimum of what you're supposed to, Chavis.

why would I be upset that you chile and jax, 3 of the most ardent Miles supporters, disagree with me?

speaking of which, what does that say about miles that he kept such an average DC around for so long?

so we only recruit NFL talent on the defensive side of the ball? got it.

EDIT: to be clear, I disagree that Chavis did the bare minimum, because more often than not, LSU was winning games IN SPITE of its offense, not because of it. but, whatever, lets all cheer and be happy that hes gone, even though I am sure I could probably find posts from all 3 of the degenerates on this very message board praising him.

Miles supporters,

SO the point of your unending love fest for Chavis in this thread is to find a way to bash Miles?

Glad we finally got that out of you.

I don't have to defend him. the fact that LSU kept him around for 6 years shows that Miles thinks he was doing a pretty darn good job.

I still believe that Chavis is a top 5 DC. I never said GOAT. thats beefense putting words in my mouth because he has no argument, he just showed up and started throwing around insults. even in this very thread, I said Smart is the best in the business.

So, you don't need an offense to win games now.
Or special teams.

Just assert your dominant defense and cause the other team to forfeit in sheer fright. Cool.

But no where near this great defense you alluded to.

You alluded to the 2013 offense being average when mett was 260 yards away from breaking the lsu single season passing yard record and JHill had the 2nd best rushing season in the history of the program.

and if 65th is average the lsu offense was above average in all but one year of chavis' tenure in offensive points per game

thats kinda been LSUs calling card for the greater part of the last 15 years?

which must be why "fans" love to harp on the very few times that the defense doesn't get it done. they are so used to seeing the defense impose its will on other teams that when it doesn't it simply blows their minds.
