I guess the idea of defamation is moot then since the 1st amendment protects you from all people.

Well here is the difference, gun nuts while ridiculous at times are clinching to their 2nd amendment rights and there is at times legit concern for the removal of these rights leading to potential government tyranny. A lot of evidence points to tyranny in an unarmed populace.

Vegans are just dumb, I believe nutrition science has proven you need to eat meat along with fruits and vegetables and what not to be healthy. Vegans are apart of a hipster fad, similar to the gluten issue. A very small % even microscopical have a legit gluten allergy yet it's the hot new thing. Throw in the anti vaccine people with them. Dumb hipster ideology.

Telling someone to frick off is not defamation; it's just telling someone to, kindly, frick thee off.

If we assume "the gubmint" means "everyone", though, you should see what happens when we all show up to peaceably assemble on Superior Pariah's lawn and petition him for redress of grievances.

Worse. They're dangerous.

Gun enthusiasts are not normally the ones you need to worry about.

Correct, it isn't. If the 1st amendment protected free speech from "everyone", as was being trumpeted, then there would never be consequences.

At no point did I claim it was defamation. Just saying that the 1st amendment obviously does not apply to protection of speech on all levels.

There are no consequences for me telling him, or anyone for that matter, to frick off.

That doesn't mean it is protected by free speech either.

You are right. Bicycle nuts are by far more annoying, followed by vegans.

Compared to those two, gun enthusiasts barely register on the annoying scale.

Folks on this board love shitting on vegans/crossfitters/atheists for being extremely vocal about their lifestyle. But, no one talks about gun nuts' ridiculous love affair with the 2nd Amendment.

im an atheist and gun nut waiting on forms to clear for 3 suppressors and a short barreled rifle. I used to be an evangelical atheist, but now i dont get into debates unless i have reasonably ascertained that the other guy/gal can reasonably debate and not fall back to slinging insults. I have to be somewhat vocal about guns and ammo and optics bc its my job. gotta pay for school. im not gonna be a douchebag and go open carry my SBR in the mall or some shite lol
