In 2010 Ole Miss won the SEC West and hung up a banner. To avoid further embarrassment to the SEC in the future the SEC voted in 2011 to abolish the divisions in basketball.

No divisions in BB. So it is a rotation thing. You play 4 teams twice home and home then 10 teams once for total of 18 games.
