Coffee and caffeine is the worst thing for a hangover. It actually makes them worse.

His phone going off just now was a painful sound. It's that bad.

I have friends that get hung over a bunch. I actually created a "hangover" profile on my phone that switches everything to a softer ringtone at a lower volume. I'm a good friend.

they have. do not toxify your body, and you will not get a hangover.
alcohol is toxic. stop putting it into your body.

so easy a clown car could do it.

Science actually tells us your body is going through withdrawals. Drink something when you wake up like a bloody mary, mimosa or water down a shot if that's all you've got. Hangover will be cured in no time. It's not what you want to do, but it's what your body wants. You're welcome for the cure to the hangover thanks to science.

Oh yea, your new lie to get attention on this board is that you're "sick"

Silly me, I can't get your pleas for attention straight.

If a hangover is just dehydration and too much alcohol in the blood, I assume hydration is the cure. Thanks science!

Not true. It's a significant cause but also the presence of conengers(impurities in alcohol) and acetaldehyde. Acetaldehyde will make you feel like shite. It's produce by the partial metabolism of alcohol. When you exceed your body's ability to metabolize alcohol, these levels build up. Why is it worse when you smoke? Tobacco has high levels of this chemical in it. Glucose (sugar) helps with the metabolism of alcohol and acetaldehyde, as does vit c. So hydrate, drink good shite (clear alcohol better as a rule), pace yourself, vit C and sugar.

Wrong. Hair of the dog helps, but just prolongs the inevitable. The dizziness that it helps and nausea that comes with it is due to a difference in Etoh levels in your vestibular apparatus (that controls balance-spinning in circles fricks it up too) and blood. This alters your bodies ability to maintain equilibrium due to the slight change in specific gravity between the two. Drinking helps balance that out. So it can help to "wean" down. I guess you could call that a withdrawl, but it's not a true withdrawl. At that point you still have it in your system. And if you have to drive or go to work, more drinking is not the answer. Of course if you go hair of the dog, you still need fluids, glucose, and time.

I've heard an iv will cure a hangover instantly. Never tried it, but have talked to nurses who do it occasionally.

Soooo, how do we make iv's for consumer purchase?

It does. Instantly? No. But speeds it up by rehydration and helping flush all that shite out of your system. D5NS-need the glucose to help metabolize, but first bag just plain NS bolus. Not that I'd know.
