For me, it was My Big Fat Greek Wedding. I only saw it because I heard it was so good from so many people. It did over $200 million, but after seeing it I just didn't get it. To me, it should have been called My Big Fat Greek Disappointment.

Most people or movie snobs on this board? I generally agree with popular opinion and disagree with the movie snobs on this board.

I'm sure we'll get a lot of Dark Knight Rises responses. It was universally acclaimed by critics and filmgoers alike, yet the movie snobs on this board believe it to be the worst movie to come out this decade.

I absolutely love TDKR but I don't think it received "universal critical acclaim", a lot of critics think Nolan reached just a little too far. I love it though so don't consider me one of the movie snobs.

As for me? The more I catch The Avengers on tv the more I hate it. Loki is a pussy and none of the heroes ever get in any sort of life threatening danger. It's the most simple minded movie with the lowest stakes I've ever seen for a superhero movie.

Inception - although I didn't "hate" it. I just thought it was overhyped and meh. I've watched it 2 more times thinking maybe I missed something. No go.

Gravity - This I pretty much hated. Visually appealing with a bad script and terrible acting.

With you on Gladiator and The Patriot. Gladiator is almost unbearable for me to watch and I'm a Crowe and Joaquin fan.

Braveheart I like, but on rewatches it gets increasingly difficult to overlook the over-the-top portrayal of William Wallace. Literally only 10% of what's in the move actually happened.

Frozen apparently. Amazingly pedestrian for all the whoopty doo. Boring and simple. It's no Lion King or Little Mermaid. I'll second My Big Fat Greek Whatever as well. Underwhelming even though Lainie Kazan in anything is usually money.

As listed by the critics that Rotten Tomatoes posts on its website, the film holds an 88% approval rating with an average score of 8/10. Metacritic gives it a 78/100 from the combined critics who post to that site, making it Nolan's third most critically acclaimed film behind The Dark Knight (82/100) and Memento (80/100) on that website.
