RiverWest was purchased by Bob Dean who is converting it into a nursing home for his residents at Plaquemine Manor nursing home. Should be moving in soon.

Worked at the va hospital in New Orleans one summer as a kid. Had to scan all the medical equipment in the hospital, including the ones in the wings on floors that were no longer in use. Was the creepiest thing ever, was just like a horror movie. Only emergency lights, abandoned wards with papers and beds everywhere and the occasional moniter still blinking somewhere. The freakiest is when they had old quarantined rooms that had auto sliding doors that would still open as you were walking past them.

Yeah that didn't happen... Although we are still in touch. Probably seeing him again when he gets back from Russia, though.

I actually started job hunting... so I had to get back on a normal sleep schedule. fricked up my normal posting regimen.

It's in Central on Greenwell springs rd. Appears to Still be maintained even if not housing patients.

Yes it's on Greenwell Springs road and it is being used again for something after being closed for about a year. I drive by it to go to work regularly. They have some smoke stacks in the back that look like they belonged to an old crematorium and that is kind of frightening.
