I wasn't a comic book reader as a kid, but am a big fan of the super hero movie genre. Anyway, I was playing Lego Batman 3 with my 8-year-old son earlier and there was a character called Condiment King that used ketchup and mustard guns. I mean, really?

Is there a lamer super villain out there?

I remember an old Fantastic Four issue where the villain group the Frightful Four was auditioning would be villains for membership.

One of the guys trying out was a guy (I think his name was Captain Ultra). He had great powers - Super strength, flight, etc. Only problem was every time he saw an open flame he would faint. Kind of a problem facing a team with the Human Torch on it.

I've never been a big fan of any of the Lewis Carroll inspired stuff in Batman.

Mad Hatter. Tweedle-Dee and Tweedle-Dum. Just seems out of place and unnecessarily hokey.

I always thought that The Prankster was pretty lame. Basically he commits pranks while committing crimes. He has no real superpowers, just whoopee cushions and joy buzzers.

ETA: The Trickster also. Hell, they might as well have been the same character now that I think about it.

Missed the /super heroes part of your subject and thought this was about actors that were miscast as villains. One of those that always comes to mind for me is Will Patton as General Bethlehem in The Postman (1997).

I love Loki. At least the MCU version, anyway.

For heroes: Matter Eater Lad from The Legion of Super Heroes is pretty lame.

I know this is blasphemy but I think most of the DC villains are just stupid. A clown , a guy who thinks he 's a penguin ( have you seen a penguin, they're one of the most ridiculous animals on the planet) and a guy who gives clues via riddles of what his next crime will be.

I've really been digging The Flash on WB but some of his villains are just terrible as well.

Not comic book related, but Mumra the Ever Living from ThunderCats. His only weakness is he can't stand the sight of his own evil.

Not to derail the thread...but I mean what did you expect? It's a Lego game...for 8 year olds. I'd think Condiment King would be better suited for that age group than a satanic horned hellbeast that's slitting throats and raping villages.

Not a comic book, but Darth Vader in the prequels:

Lucas divided by zero.
