I swam growing up. A kid and I tied for first in a championship meet in 100m breast. This meant we raced again after a rest to decide a winner.

I made the turn, misjudged how deep I was and breathed in nothing but water. I was at least a full body length ahead. I had to stop and hang on the landline coughing up water for a minute.

I then finished the race knowing I had a DQ. We were the only two people in the pool right before the final event. Everyone watched as I literally choked a win away.

Missed a dunk that lost us a big game in high school. Made a post move in the waning seconds down 1, spun around and beat my man and went up. All I had to do was lay it in. Instead I decide to tear the sumbitch down to end the game. Dude kind of bumped me (my excuse) and somehow I gonged the ball off the back of the rim. Game over. Everybody just looking at me like "WTF, man? Yiu just lost us the game being a retard". Well, yea I did. Sorry guys. I got to run suicides the entire next practice and sit the whole first quarter of the next game.

I'm sure I've had worse but that comes to mind.

Told the umpire to go frick himself and got tossed out of the game in high school. It go worse from there when I told him that I was going frick him and his wife up the arse.

Found out in Monday that his wife was my English teacher.

Me personally: Blowing a routine throw to 1st from 2B and it allowed a few runs to score. We ended up blowing a 8-9 run lead in the last 2 innings to cost us a championship


My teams: MSU/WISC B10 Title game, especially with running into the kicker call

Junior year of high school. Played the last game of the season against the team we were competing against for the last playoff spot in the district. (Before the power rankings stuff). We had about 25 penalties or so called on us and got screwed out of the playoffs. Played a Monroe team in Monroe, go figure.

Senior year of high school. It was the opening round of playoff baseball and my last game ever on the mound. I walked three guys in the first inning then proceeded to give up a grand slam, the only one I ever gave up in my career. I settled down after my pitching coach came out for a chat, but we lost the game 6-1.

A year after HS, my friend convinced me to enter a Pizza Hut 3 on 3 tournament in Buckhead area of Atlanta. In 90, that yearly event was a big deal. I was the only one of the 3 that had ever played organized BB. I was the tallest at 6' and they were both about 5'9". No worries though because the tourney was matching teams of similar height and skill level. We entered to play in group 3 out of 4 levels.

We practiced for 3 weeks together and my buddy even had these dumb uniforms made. We were slotted to play at noon that Saturday so we show up early to register. There were about 15 courts set up and we were scheduled for the Main Court outside the bar where you registered. The team we were to play showed up and they were all around 6'2" or a bit taller and as we soon found out, entered into a flight below their skill level.

The game started with a PAC of my friends layup attempt. Scoring was done in ones and the first to 15 won. They beat us 15-0 or 30-0 in reality. Horrible thing was that because it was the first game at main court, there was a huge crowd all around the court. They also had a guy announcing on a microphone with loud music playing. After about 8-0, he started poking fun. "Looks like somebody forgot to eat their Wheaties! Oooohhhhhh!" and stuff like that. The crowd was laughing at us more as the game went on.

By the end, I was as embarrassed as I have ever been. People were still talking shite to us when we left the court and went inside the bar with those queer arse uniforms on. I was livid and could not even talk to the guy who signed us up for that event for a few hours. I changed as fast as I could in the bathroom and quickly made my way to a far away court where some other friends were scheduled to play a game. Went down there and watched them win their first game but lose the second by 2 points. Low and behold, they were actually playing guys of their size and skill level. We were just unlucky to have been matched against a group that lied(dudes seemed like college level players) and had our shite pushed in on center court.

9th grade basketball. We were defeated by Charleston, MO 63-12. Future Mizzou Tiger Lamont Frazier was on that team. I was the leading scorer with 3 points and only made one free throw and no field goals. How did I get my other 2 points?
