Crazy that this was allowed to happen. Its not like there's marginal talent in the area. To allow other universities to work harder in your own state is unacceptable.

Good.
But Miles has to get up to N. La., as well.
If Nick Saban can do it, so can Miles.
Les has been at LSU longer than Nick was, and has had plenty of opportunities to create and utilize contacts up here.
I am shocked that Miles hasn't been to see a player like White, at a position of need, and Saban has...
Let me just put this out there:
I like Les Miles personally and I don't like Nick Saban.
But Les is not going to "out-think" Saban.
He's going to have to "out-work" him.
If Les is losing that battle, too, as the White episode suggests, we need another plan.

Les should hire you as the recruiting coordinator.

NS will also drop you fast if you get injured or he gets someone better. That's how we ended up with Kwon. No loyalty.

Yeah, hell of a coach but could care less about a kid on a personal level.Hopefully that BS they pulled with Womack will come back to haunt them.LSU needs to use this against them.

Ever.

RAT, you're right, of course.
But for purposes of this thread, let's focus on why yet ANOTHER 4-5 star N. La. Recruit, at a position of need, feels he's getting more attention from Ala. than LSU:
1. Those who are ready to diss a kid for feeling this way, should never publicly post again on an LSU site that recruits can access;
2. If the recruits feel this way, we should accept it as true;
3. In this case, why has Saban been on a personal visit to a La. Kid, at a LSU position of need and Les has not?
4. We cannot afford to be out worked on in state, 4-5 star kids, at critical positions of need by ANYBODY, much less Saban.
5. Unless Les, who is a fine person, by heavenly intervention, is struck by
coaching genius, he must outwork his best coaching opponents , if he hopes to win the SEC. In N. La. He appears to be getting out worked by Saban, and maybe by Freezus.
This is a problem.

Getting more attention is just a talking point. It doesn't mean that attention from others is lacking. Hell, if giving more attention worked every time I'd have nailed that cheerleader in high school vs. the dope head she dated from shop class.

Exactly. I don't know the kid personally at all, but maybe he just loves attention. What if Frank or Coach O calls him once a day just to shoot the shite, or sends texts throughout the day just initiating some BS small talk, but he has four different Bama coaches constantly texting and calling him all day non stop. To me, the all day crap would be annoying, but shooting the shite with a coach once or twice a day would be more enticing.

ETA: he may be in a position of need for us in this class(IF he ends up playing LB), but we are leading for a ton of other guys of his caliber all over the nation, and we can't spend every second of the day giving him "attention" he apparently craves and lose out on all the other guys. This staff has proven time and again that they are more than capable of recruiting top guys from all over the nation. The staff is obviously doing something right, so let's trust the guys who have been doing this for a living for a long time.

They come here with the same lame bullshite.
Like our coaching staff doesn't recruit our own state.
Just look at in state recruits we get year after year.
You can't get them all no matter how much you try.

But they always know better than the coaches and always know what should have been done.

Top 5 class shows they are doing work.
Some recruits won't come and there's nothing you can do about it.
Yea so they wear Alabama gear at at Alabama camp, they do the same thing here and still commit some where else.
It's the nature of the business.

Bama has done a great job of recruiting HS coaches, and paying them to help get our Louisiana kids to their camps. They bus them down there and the Bama staff has capitalized on working Louisiana kids one on one. It's a huge priority for Saban and they are doing this in Florida now too.

I-20 has some of the best offensive lineman in the country along with skill position athletes. I feel Miles staff has been out worked in the north over the last few years like many of you. Let's hope we can turn the tide.

1) same can be said if you believe everything a kid says and bash the coach. then you should not be allowed to post. (janzen jackson, luther davis, womack, the kid from sheveport that went to texas, noil, willis, etc.) have all proven to be less than truthful

2) no we should not accept what a recruit says to be true. this is ignornance if you haven't learned anything from the past. teenage kids, especially recruits, are immature, play games, and make many statements that aren't truthful.

3) are you sure les hasn't been to north la? i remember reading he was up there during January.

4) our fan base has idolized nick saban and trashed les miles. Kids hear this every day. Read it here everyday, just read your post. les is dumb, nick is smart. Les has to outwork nick and his own fan base.

5)Les is a very strong recruiter, just look at the n.f.l., he has as many or more than any other coach. either he's smarter or outworking every other coach.

I do find it interesting to see kids in florida, Texas, Georgia, etc. say lsu is a big time s.e.c. school, they are excited about their offers, and commit to us early. however, la kids do not think that way. why is that? maybe they read on board's like this how bad our school/coach is?

Maybe les is fed up with the games some of these cats play. maybe he recognizes lsu as a national brand that kids accross the country want to come to. therefore, if the kid in the state wants to play games, doesn't see the school the same way, and makes public defaming statements about our school/coaching staff, then "TO HELL WITH THEM". we will go find as good or better that want to be here from some other state.
