Im currently prescribed 60 capsules of the drug Vyvanse per month, which means I take 2 capsules per day. I was accepted in the Pharmaceutical manufacturers "Patient Assistance" program to pay for the drug completely free of charge, but they only cover 30 capsules. I take 40mg, and then a 30mg each day. What's odd to me is they would completely cover 70mg, but since I choose to take the 70mg in different doses, Im being penalized. Either way, does anyone know any way that i could obtain a drastic discount on the other 30 capsules? I would have to pay $223 for 30 capsules. I have no coverage on this other than simple prescription discounts. The only other discount i know is again from the Pharmaceutical company which covers up to $90 of the prescription.

Thanks in advance.

Buy empty capsule, get the 70mg, then repackage it yourself.

Yes. You are assuming they are fairly charging to begin with. They are not. Also, insurance companies can be real assholes about certain medications despite logic and reason.

You aren't going to have any more teeth if you stay on Vyvanse. It rots your teeth!

Are you just making a random claim or do you any evidence that supports your claim? I cant just take your word for it, you know.

Why do you split it up? It's a twelve hour pill

Consider the long-term effects of Vyvanse and take the opportunity to look for more natural treatment of your problem.

Full disclosure, I'm probably older than you and have no medical training but remain skeptical of ADHD and believe most people just like the pharmaceutical meth.

It doesn't actually last at the strength I prefer for 12 hours. I was at 50mg, and then doctor prescribed 30/30, and that worked great, and then I went to 40-30, and that worked best. Vyvanse website says target dose is 50 or 70 anyways. I might just go back to the 50mg.

It's not a high dose. Vyvanse is not as strong as adderall. 30 mg vyvanse = 10 mg adderall actually. Only issue is vyvanse has no generic form, so it's expensive and insurance doesn't like that.

The law says you have to have insurance so why are you using these instead of insurance?

not as "strong"? they are two completely different chemical moieties, thus not equipotent....

i hate manufacturer's coupons.... you think the company is taking a loss on their product?? drug companies figure this "discount" into the price of the drug as part of research and development.... in essence, those copay assistance cards keep the cost of a brand name drug expensive as frick...

he's not.... he's using a manufacturer's coupon in addition to the insurance.... billing the insurance as a primary payer, then using the coupon as a secondary...

ETA... and for all of you out there that do this shite, give that coupon to your pharmacist FIRST, like when you drop the prescription off... if you let us complete the shite, THEN give us a copay assistance thingy, you fricking waste our time, as we then have to go back and edit the fricking claim... and yes, we want to punch you in the face when you do this stupid shite....
