You can not have too many hard working qb's on an SEC team

What will it take for Harris to pass him?

1. Put on some mass so he doesn't look like a twig boy
2. Learn the playbook
3. Make less mistakes than AJ in practice

I disagree with you a ton on here, but am in total agreement with the RA. Every LSU "fan" should want it's representatives to succeed. Openly wishing failure on them should be an easy ban every single time. German was nuts. That kind of stuff comes out of posters mouths after a heartbreaking loss. He is acting like he just watched the Arkansas game for the first time.

I hope this happens, but I'll believe it when I see it.

To be honest, you've come to really annoy me because you're always very well-spoken and level-headed in your arguments. I hate arguing with someone who's opinion I actually respect.

I am so glad that my life stays busy and productive enough that I don't have the time or energy to worry about who the starting QB is in February…and which of those QB's may or may not be "working hard" in the offseason. I will start worrying about it sometime around September 1. Let the coaches and the kids do their thing until then.

This may be so but your conclusion based off of working hard is laughable. No matter how hard you work a square peg will never fit into a round whole

Only time will tell, everyone said J Lee was terrible etc until he led us 9-0 before getting benched the rest of the year In his SR year. Im not saying Jennings will be like Lee but who knows? The kid might really get the playbook under control and become a really good game manager. He will be in his 3rd year with a bunch of PT

Jennings ceiling IMO, is 2011 Lee with mobility. He doesn't have the quick release like Lee, but if he can improve his accuracy and decision making, he'll be good to go. He actually has much more talent at WR, RB, and TE to work with also.

IMO though, he's a serviceable backup as a senior. Harris is the one we need to make it to the NCG.

You just need to catch me after a really bad loss when all of that goes out the window

You hate seeing that he works hard??? Listen, it's great that both of them are working hard, you want a fierce competition so the best will start and really earn that job. Harris needs to be pushed beyond his limits. Jennings will try to give him all that he can handle.

Harris needs to look less like he's improvising (watch the spring game again), and more like he knows what he sees, and knows what to do. Like Cam said pretty much can't even read defenses, for trying to figure out how to run his own offense. That's just youth, and I believe it will be developed in this offseason. I expect him to be ready to go when the season comes around.

You also need Jennings to be a reliable back up. Outside of 2012, the last time LSU used only one QB during the season, was 2006. Injury happens, and we need a decent backup.

That's false. People need to be objective. LSU couldn't play Harris last year. The reasons are obvious.

1. We needed to run the ball to be successful and Harris struggled to even get us into the right running plays out of the I, requiring the coaching staff to make the reads, slowing us down, and he still got the plays wrong.

2. Harris averaged two busted plays a game when he got in. He routinely would be the only player going the wrong way twice a game.

3. Harris fumbled at least one snap a game in every game in which he appeared.

4. Harris either didn't know the play calls at Auburn or was calling his own plays.

Until Harris irons out those things which should be easily correctable, he can't play. These are all things that a year of experience in practice can correct, so let's hope he does so.

Dude it's coachspeak. Everybody hears this about every team and every player. There's nothing really to talk about until spring practices get going.
