No, 6 is over 2(2+1). It's 6 divided by 2(2+1). So 6 divided by 6 which is 1

I really do not want to live on this planet anymore. I'd say this is 3rd grade math but kids are getting dumber and dumber and I'm not sure that statement can be made anymore.

The way it is written, 6 is not over 2(2+1). I'd agree with you if it was written this way: X=6/[2(2+1)]

No, it may not be a common way of writing an equation but there are rules on how to write an expression like what was posted and according to those rules and the order of operations the only possible answer is 9
