I saw something on that. The Monkey was conscious, looking around.Could hear, speak. Not sure if it ate anything.

They also mixed human and rabbit genes for some reason and as far as an embryo growing they had that. They just don't have the ability to bring something like that to term yet.

And the monkey head transplant occurred in the 1970s!

Think about how far we've come since then.

The first successful head transplant - involving moving the head of one monkey on to another - was carried out in 1970 at the Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, US.

I remember reading that article in Scientific American. They transplanted the head of Monkey A onto the body of Monkey B. I also remember thinking those scientists must be crazy.

I could recommend some people to use for the human experiment.

I saw something on it on one of the Ancient Alien shows.

They also showed a dog with 2 heads that a Russian Doctor had "made".

This was in the 1950's I believe.

If they can do this, seems like they should be able to fix spinal cord damage too, and cure paralysis.

I wish they were making the same progress with the brain itself.

The spinal cords would then be cut and the recipient's head moved on to the donor body. The ends of the spinal cord would be fused together using a chemical called polyethylene glycol, which encourages fat within cell membranes to mesh.

After this, the person would be put into a coma for around four weeks to prevent them moving while they heal.

This seems like Dr. Victor von Doom's work.

So to this day, I'm still amazed teh can do all of this with hands, fingers, etc....and now heads. Yet they cannot fix a paralyzed person's spinal cord.

Why is this?

Where does the donor body come from? A dead guy I assume. What killed him? Have we fixed what killed him and why didn't we just save "that" guy?

So we can't fix paralysis, but we can completely fuse a severed spinal cord AND the head that comes with it? OK.

My first reaction too.

I wonder why they can't do this for people with spinal chord injuries now.

Death row inmates will now be decapitated. You just have to deal with a bunch of really bad tattoos and probably a few STDs.
