Good read on living up to CP3/Drew and bringing basketball back to popularity in NOLA through embracing culture. And a little about the special man video.
Also a bit on the King cake baby.
Really a great feature.

"All we’re concerned about is appealing to our culture. We’re not worried about what anybody else says. What’s important is that fans understand as a team and an organization, we get it. We’re not marketing to people who comes down for Mardi Gras. We’re marketing to the people who live here year-round who never see the French Quarter except maybe twice a year if they want to go dinner someplace. Once you get past tourist New Orleans, that’s the stuff people come back for. Mardi Gras is great, we all love it and we all participate in it, but it’s the rest of the year stuff that makes New Orleans so special."
quote:
"When I got drafted here, people started showing me around and I’m like, this is pretty cool, pretty dope. So I fell in love with it," Davis says. "Most people think French Quarter, Bourbon Street, Canal but there’s way more to New Orleans than people realize. There’s so much history and culture that I still haven’t seen, things I hear about. It’s a cool place to be. If you haven’t visited, I highly recommend it, because there’s no other place like New Orleans."

It's a good read, not sure what to think of Ben Hales though. He's apparently the guy behind the Special Man commercial , but he also said Pierre I shouldn't have ever existed

I really enjoyed that. Pretty awesome comment in the comment section as well from a fan.

It all comes down to AD remaining a level headed, good guy and continuing to like it here. We couldn't ask for anything more to make this franchise work.

Great article. Pierre the First should still be around

brought tears to my eyes. I hope AD is here forever.

I hate these articles because they make me like Monty Williams.
Seriously, it was well done.

I am an Italian living in Spain who somehow fell heavily in love with all American sports as a young kid. I also have a disdain for the big winners and I always cherish the underdog. I visited New Orleans once, in 2010, escaping the tours to Katrina-hit bayous and neighbourhoods that they’d set up for European visitors. I had pancakes, I had po’ boys, I got tired of Bourbon St. and spent a real lot of time talking with New Orleanians about the Saints, who’d just won their SB45. It was right after the Mardi Gras and I rejoiced in the leftovers, that sort of endless sunset that embraces the city that next Wednesday. I loved the city as an underdog, the city when no one thinks to visit, when almost everyone’s left. I managed to see a Hornets game (though Paul was just co-coaching from the sideline, as he was still struggling with injury), bought my statutory Stojakovic jersey and left (with a huge hangover) the city. Perhaps I’ll never see it again, and I’ll be left with the whole Treme collection in HD as the only postcards of whatever memory I can gather of the food, the smells, the wind, the Mississippi, the people, the tiny lights hanging everywhere, the beads, the music, and the sound of the beer bottles touching the bar. All this, all those fast 6 days are why I’m so in love with the city of New Orleans. And why I’m intoxicated with an enthusiasm that could be hardly explained from the outside. That’s why as a man who truly enjoys sports I believe I am lucky having been born in the era of Anthony Davis (a privilege I compare to that of being a contemporary of Roger Federer, having seen Leo Messi live, and a few other once-in-a-lifetime gems), and why I am not only hopeful, not just certain, but sincerely grateful that this is going to happen in Crescent City.

Really random to see a picture of Chris Trew in there. Wtf was that? Pretty pointless

Well he did also have some quotes in the article.
I like Monty as a person, but what the hell is midtown?

What a great read, we truly have a once in a generation player on our team right now.

That was fantastic. I'm bookmarking that article. If I'm ever asked to explain how I feel about New Orleans I will send them this article.
It perfectly describes how I feel about Chris Paul. I loved him, part of me still does. It hurts that he left and the way in which he left, but it got us Anthony Davis.
I still haven't gotten as devoted to this team like I did in the CP3 era. Losing Davis would kill basketball in New Orleans, no doubt. Reading what Anthony Davis said is special. He gets the city and he seems sincere in wanting to be the force in bringing a championship to the city. All of that is well and good, but it makes what happens in the next year or two so vital. We can't keep struggling for no good reason like we continue to do. The inconsistancy is maddening. If AD sees this franchise as one he can win with, then we will win with him. He is that good.
Besides that, I think we should retire The UniBrow, The Brow, or any other nickname for AD. He forever shall be known as The Special Man. It is perfect.

I've seen his stand up a couple times and he was pretty funny. I'm not sure what type of video you watched.
