It seems to have everything there. anyone been to enough health clubs to make this call. Loved growing up around that place! Some of my best memories were made at Red's.

between the ages of 10-15 as a kid in Laffy you're summers were spent here. As I've gotten older I'm starting to appreciate all the shite they have there, its unreal.

I just looked it up and it isn't super nice/fancy or anything but it sure looks like it has whatever anyone could want. I used to belong to the Sportclub L.A. and The Village North Scottsdale and THOSE are fancy.

I'd rather N.O.A.C.

When I would visit my cousin during the summer, I would go there with him. It's one of the better gym's that I've been to.

In fairness to red's, the pics on their website look like they were taken in the 80's. Its definitely a lot nicer in person

Agreed. It can't be one of the top places in the country when it's not on the same level as one of the gyms in its own state, Stone Creek. I would imagine there are a lot of Stone Creek type places out there, especially in larger fitness/tennis communities.

Red's is nice though and definitely has everything you could ever want.

Reds and Stone Creek are probably the two best in La. Not sure about the rest of the country.

Red opens the place himself at 3 am. Best? Hell if I know. But I love it.

John Cena of the WWF called it the Wrigley Field of gyms....called it the Meca of gyms..

Some lofty bs like that.

I've never seen an all around gym have more. I know for a fact it was too 10 rated in America some years back.

I grew up going to reds when I was younger with my grandmother, worked at calloways for years, went to most gyms in Baton Rouge, member at PAC, cross gates and Slidell athletic club, been to numerous anytimes and 24 hour fitnesses across the country and by far the nicest club I have belonged to has been stonecreek. Worth every penny

Place looks cheap

Fit Athletic in Houston or San Diego look better

LVAC in Green Valley is killer. Equinox in Irvine is great

Not a huge lafayette fan but Reds in the best Without question, I've lived all over the world. There might be a better one in Beverly hills that costs a thousand a month but if there is that's about it

Yep I've been a member/used the facilities at Elmwood, PAC, Franco's, Reds, and Stone Creek and I can guarantee you that Stone Creek blows all of them out of the water. They pay such close attention to detail and keep the cleanest facility I've ever been in. It actually grosses you out when you walk into other gyms locker rooms. Stone Creek isn't cheap though, think it's like a $700 initiation fee. I rank them...

Stone Creek

Franco's
Red's

PAC

Elmwood

After Katrina reds let us (Katrina evacuees) use the gym for free while we were in lafayette. I've always thought that was a super classy move and the gym was great. If I lived in lafayette Id certainly be a member.
