Which SEC school claims the ‘Wide Receiver U’ title for the last decade?

LINK /

It shouldn’t be any surprise that LSU crushes the rest of the SEC by a wide margin. Reigning NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Odell Beckham Jr. and former running mate Jarvis Landry are fresh in everyone’s mind after the way they tore up the pros this season. It’s not just those two, though. LSU has nearly double the number of players drafted over the last decade of any other SEC team.

Have we really not had an all-SEC WR in that time span?

Pretty good given that most years, our QB's can't throw accurately past their shoe laces.

We're a pro-style running team. Our WRs learn how to block and make the most of their touches, valuable in the NFL.

These threads are getting old....much rather have SEC champs, etc. I'm happy for their success, but it's a shame we can't coach them up and win big!

I agree but it's amazing how every WR has underachieved at LSU due to shitty QB play.

Really shows how there is no excuse for such terrible QB play. Good OLines, great WRs and RBs, terrible QBs and lackluster offense overall.

This just isnt true. Lsu had good qb play in 06,07,09,11,13.

LSU actually had 12 WRs drafted during in the past decade, and Russell Shepard played some this year even though he wasn't drafted. That makes 13 LSU receivers place into the league in the past decade. LSU is the best in this category in the SEC and it truly isn't close.

Sure, it's valuable in the NFL. But the NFL is a passing league.

That just shows how good our WR's are that we get. They make the most out of the few opportunities they get.

The thing about our WRs is that they get fewer targets because they have to play together. Look at Kadron Boone. Played maybe seven offensive snaps all year and gets drafted in the 7th.

We may NEVER have an All-SEC player because we're never going to have a guy that we target 15-20 times a game.

36.

The number of points allowed in losses in 2013. Teams gotta play defense to win.

As much as any other explanation as to why we've had no all-SEC WR's in that span is this and our O-style. WR's on teams that fling-it on gonna pile-up the stats.
