Not really. I haven't noticed that. That's why I was confused at the response. I didn't understand his post. The other post didn't say anything other than the poster liked boxed cakes probably because that's what he's grown up on and hadn't had a scratch cake he liked better. That's how I read it. Maybe I missed something. Not trying to start anything. I simply couldn't figure it out and I still can't. Maybe I need a drink!

That cake picture looks good to me and I'm not a big cake fan. A plain yellow cake with chocolate frosting doesn't entice me, scratch or boxed. Give me a caramel doberge and you'll have my attention.

It's sort of sporadic. He quit posting for a while after something that was similarly so innocuous.

You understood my post perfectly.

To the OP: You seemed to be upset with me as if I offended you somehow, but that was just the first part of your post. I have absolutely no idea what the rest of it is about. Keepin on doin you, though. It sure is entertaining. And just so you know, as I look at your post count, I see you need to get a job or a life, probably both.

Okay, this is where I draw the line. You have now offended the overwhelming majority of the posters on Tigerdroppings with MD being far from a front runner in post count.

But Miz GG - I do try hard, just can't seem to get my count to a respectable level.

One last time - I know I should let it drop - I was trying to make a joke with that post about the tendency of the board to put down box cake mixes and Italian dressing marinade on steaks and such.

You may not realize it, but we can be somewhat snooty - just look at our opinions about cast iron brazing a steak, vs reverse sear, vs microwave, vs boiling (which anyone with any common sense knows is the very best way) vs my old grill with charcoal, vs Green egg, vs brown egg, vs propane, vs nuclear death ray sear - But jeepers I loves all of us so much - even the atomic death ray steak sear folks except I have no use for them when they try to do a Fillet that way because NY strip rules the steak bidness.

My brand of humor doesn't always work very well, does it!

I don't think he's thin skinned. He was raked over the coals a number of time by posters accusing him of trolling with some of his threads (which would likely be repeated if he posted a how-to thread for cake from a mix).

Personally, I enjoy his threads and his food always looks good to me!

Your post count is just fine. Yours are a helluva lot more substantive than a lot of mine, MD, and I can't do the picture step by step threads. I don't have the patience to stop and take pictures, though I love those threads more than any.

Just went right over my head, MD. Yep, right over my head. That's why I thought your response was so odd. I can't tell you how many times I read the OP's post and then yours trying to figure out what I missed! Your post just didn't sound like you, to me!

Well, I missed it this time, but I don't know whether it just went over my head or your brand didn't work because I still can't make it all fit. I think I'm working to hard at trying to get a life or whatever...
