Ducktales and Gadget in the same day!!!! WOW

quote:

Netflix is ordering five new children's series, including a rebooted Inspector Gadget that will debut next month. Like the original cartoon, the new Inspector Gadget follows a bumbling detective outfitted with crazy, high-tech gear that he uses while tracking down a crime syndicate. This series actually appears to be positioned as a sequel, with the original cartoon's villain returning, Gadget being brought out of retirement, and his niece — now somewhat older — in training to fight crime.

...and Danger Mouse!!

quote:

Netflix is expanding its children’s programming with five new animated and live-action series, including revivals of 1980s cult favorites “Danger Mouse” and “Inspector Gadget.”

Also on the slate: “Some Assembly Required,” “Bottersnikes & Gumbles” and “SUPER 4.”

The “Danger Mouse” update was actually announced last year by the BBC, which plans to introduce plenty of 21st-century elements, including gender-swapped characters. The first season is scheduled to debut this year on CBBC, but Netflix won’t debut the series until 2016.

Darkwing Duck, Tailspin and Gargoyles need a reboot as well. Bring back the classics.

Just saw this, and glad to hear it. Definitely a classic from my childhood. Hoping they eventually they buy out the Avatar franchise as well and complete the Cycle, and then we'll be in business.
