The year the Saints won the SB, my Guard unit went to the open training camp. We worked it out through the Saints to go. They gave us or own stands, drinks, and stuff like that. While we were standing around waiting for the practice to begin, some of us chatted up Bobby and Juan Kincaid. Now, I noticed Kristian standing there. He looked very familiar. Once I thought about it, I realized my son played baseball with his son. Kristin was the coach of the team, and sometimes his dad would come help. I remember he would drive a Jeep Cherokee with the WWL logo on the side. So I called for him to come over. He comes over and I bring up our boys playing ball together. He denies it. I brought up conversations we had during the season that included information he told me. He actually said that I didn't know what I was talking about. I was standing there in uniform along with other people. I got my wife to pull up the baseball pictures from that year and find one with the coach. When she did, she sent it to my phone. I showed everyone his picture and they all laughed. None of us could think of why he would lie. I even tried to get him to come back over so I could show the picture, but he wouldn't acknowledge us after that. This is just a small thing, and something meaningless. For him to blatantly lie to people in uniform, I can't help but to think that he is lying about caring about the soldiers and those who serve. I believe he signs of with Semper Fi for his own benefit.

This was my first thought as well. Jerry could have volunteered but didn't. He didn't "serve" until he was forced.
