I said last night that he's been playing like a poor man's Lebron lately.

We can only imagine right now how awesome it would be for him and Simmons to play on the same team. Because he is probably gone the way he has been playing

Would've been nice to have Brandon Bass on that '06 Final Four team too but that's the way the cracker crumbles.

Martin is putting the team on his back and getting us into the tourney this year. Next year, it will be Simmons's turn.

Martin finally found his step in the Kentucky game. He saw what happens when he is aggressive around the basket and that he is as or more athletic than anyone on the court.

Couldn't agree more. Martin is now playing lights out. He has progressed more than any player this year. I see him gone to the NBA after this year more so than Mickey.

A Mickey - Simmons combo to me is even more intriguing next year as there games will complement each other more. Martin and Simmons would seem to be playing a similar position.

Yeah, watching these last few games, I would be surprised if he stays.

He is playing lights out lately.

However, we can always hope.

He's most likely gone, but the way he's playing now, if he came back he would be projected mid 1st right off be bat. Like one more year dominating in college would set him up for life. He won't be a 1st rounder this year probably, and 2nd rounders have to work extra hard for anything in the nba

I duuno... he's playing lottery-pick ball right now.

Is there enough season left for him to become a lottery pick? Dunno. But if this team goes deep, like Final 4 deep, he's looking at lottery-pick status.

All premised on we actually make the tourney, and the way we are playing right now, we do.

I'm torn, because I want him to stay and think he can work on a few more things that could make him top 5-10 next year. I would not blame him one bit if his current play continues and he goes. Robertson will soften the blow, especially with what we have coming in. Ultimately, we just need one to stay to be serious contenders. Both, and we will likely be favorites against everyone we play next season not named Kentucky.

the light came on at the end of last year for him. Then he started this year good but slowed down. It looks like the light is back on again and we might have something going on now.

yeah, halfway through the season it appeared as if Martin was the one who needed another year more than mickey. Now the tables have turned.

From what I've heard from friends who are die-hard NBA fans, the depth for post players in the draft this season is staggering...which obviously bodes well for LSU

Martins been tearing it up lately.

And I think that's mostly because we are finally going to his side and looking for him way more than we did early on in the year. Especially in our half court offende. We used to go to Mickeys side more than Martins side... But now we are going to Martins side, giving it to him on the perimeter and letting him create, etc.

And it's been working great. Martin has rhythm the entire game and is wanting the ball more. He's a very hard matchup for most college teams due to his size and abilty with the ball and athleticism. Been great down the stretch.

He's a 6'10 small forward with low post and three point ability. He's goneand rightfully so
