Just curious on what the highly concentrated Southeastern internet thinks. An explanation of your thoughts is obviously appreciated.

Don't hide behind that (intellectually) abhorrent screen name. I know you think about these things.

I was determined to think that indeterminate beliefs are universally accepted except where they are rejected.

Determinism - every event has a cause. What happens happens necessarily according to the laws of nature. Butterfly effect.

Indeterminism - Certain decisions and acts (namely, "free" ones) have nothing that causes them to occur; they are pure chance events; they simply happen, having nothing to do with the person doing the act.

I can't believe you came to this board to ask such a question (and expect an actual response).

Yes, the same board that is currently hosting discussions such as:

Gym/Health Club Riot: What would be your weapon of choice if an all out riot broke out at your gym/health club?

jeff dahmer choking out a cat

and, of course

Does anyone still sell party balls?

I'd ask it on the poli-board but it would quickly be overrun with the likes of SEC Crazy and Revelator telling me how god did it all, then we'd all be banned.

I believe in free will, so that makes me a believer in the indeterministic universe. All of us, in practice, believe in free will. It's why we get mad at people when they frick us over.

Umm.... both, I'd say. My initial reaction leads me to believe you might prefer indeterminism.
