Is the staff expecting any commitments this weekend? If I am not mistaken, we usually pick up a commitment or two this time of year. Our staff looks to be doing great already for this recruiting cycle and by no means do I just expect 5 stars to committ to us just because they are making a visit but I was just wondering if any of you knew a little more than I did? If not who will be our next commitment, this class has me really excited

Plenty of talent came in from all over the country. Some of the out of state guys even decided to stay the night and spend some time around players already committed. It looked like a success from my perspective

We'll go into NSD w/ 8 verbals. The buildup will resemble a nuclear explosion on this board.

May have one pop in the next couple of days but this weekend was more about setting the stage and continuing to build relationships especially for the new coaches. These national kids are gonna be long battles more than quick commits.

Having said that, DL and DB kids better start narrowing it on down and getting their spot. Way too many kids with us at the top if their lists to wait it out too long unless you're a top if the board guy that has a spot regardless. With all the offers at both spots I'm not sure their are many spots being held. Its first come, first serve for all but maybe 1-2 at each spot. Gonna be interesting to watch.

This weekend and the great interest from so many kids tells me that our defensive class is gonna be tough to beat as the best in the country. Even if we miss on a couple we think we will get, the depth and quality of that depth is still going to be almost unreal good. Looking forward to watching it play out and all the booms. Gonna be a great year off the field and hopefully in it as well

Ive seen that we have a good bit of offers out on defensive front 7, do we have alot of offers out for DBs? I know the top guys like Monroe have offers, but second tier guys?

Ill check the recruiting thread.

You can thank Corey Raymond. He sounds like he basically locked up Trayvon Mullen this weekend.

You know Ed O is doing his thing with D Line kids. Lots of linebacker offers coming from Steele. As I said earlier though, Corey Raymond pulled in a great DB class last year and this one will be as good or better.

I seriously doubt he will go anywhere near the first round. I think the second half of round two is the best case, unless some team reaches a la Jamarcus. I've been on the Jalen Collins bandwagon since his RSFR year, but he's not THAT good.

He's going to go late first round, early second.

You also insisted for a year that Mills was the best CB and would not move to safety.

If so, this is nothing short of mind-boggling good. We just signed what Detillier called our best three CB's in a class in history.

We literally will have DB's out the wazoo after the 16' class signs and all of them would push for starting time on any other D1 team. We have so many guys that are elite out of state that are high on us not to mention what we have in state. We will probably have to pass on some really good ones and a couple will be in state. Hope the DL man start wanting to come here now with Coach O
