Excellent news...I was wondering when someone was going to use that property for something constructive...
say what you want about Jindhal, he and LSU grad Stephen Moret are kicking arse on bringing industry to LA...

Congrats, those will be pretty damn good jobs too for skilled people.
I love that kind of shite. Cranes, fire, explosions, noise! Not boring very often.

The rolling mills and tunnel furnaces might be 1/2 mile long or more.
Also The support businesses that will spring up around it will be amazing, anyone with some land along that highway, is already rich.

I would say the odds are fairly good...the facility has not been out of use for a terribly long time, so maintenence should be minimal...
also, we have had a couple of aluminum plants locate here in MS over the last several years and they seem to be doing well...

good point...the mill is surrounded by miles of pine forests, all owned by the owner of the mill (International Paper)....

If I lived in the area, I would be racing to start some type of food place right now,as close as possible and doing deliveries.
