I have a Dreamcast I got from a yardsale but I only have Marvel v Capcom. Apparently it's really easy to pirate games for it. Like you can literally just burn a disc image onto a CD-R. I might give it a shot. Know anything about that?

Oh it was, at ten years old I thought it was the best it was going to get. Only other game I really had that feeling with was Crysis when I built my first PC.

I do not, but you at least have one of the best games on the system in MVC.

i will have to pull out the damn thing and look at all the discs that are with it, tons of burned discs.

Could I copy those to distribute to others on here with a DC?

The only game I've ever owned where I got the feeling of being at an arcade at my home.

No games, I loved mine though.

It was the start of third party developers leaving Nintendo.

Don't get me wrong. It was a revolution. I remember the first day I saw Mario 64. My mind is still blown.

BUT, looking back so many games had issues. The controller sucked. And the main reason is the paltry library. Just count the gross number of "great" games for the console. Then do the same for the NES, SNES, Genesis, PS1... It's no comparison

It had an incredible library.

I loved the way a games graphics looked on the Dreamcast.

They all had a very unique, awesome look.

Genesis was the same way a generation earlier. It just had this arcadey kind of look that even the superior SNES couldn't replicate

No it wasn't. It was a good system but it placed itself in the market with the established Playstation and then got smoked by the PS2 that was backwards compatible. If Dreamcast released with a DVD media instead of CD, it would have been the first to the market with it and had an advantage. Instead, they released as a CD player/system and was lumped with a very well established PS1 that had tons of games.

So you had Dreamcast battling against the huge game library of PS1 and the in-house library of Nintendo 64/game cube. Nintendo can get away with fricking up the media thing due to their exclusive titles (Mario and Zelda mainly).

A lot of folks who grew up with Genesis instead of Nintendo are still bitter. So Dreamcast is romanticized. Yes, Sega made a lot of blunders and eventually fell by the wayside, but before they did they gave us one last amazing console. What a final bow. It's beautiful *tear*

Soul Calibur on Dreamcast is by far the best fighting game ever.

And the sheer number of good games on the system is a joke, compared to other systems. N64 was revolutionary but it was rushed to market. Dreamcast to me perfected it, it was the last great classic console.

Everything I said is true. It's the 2nd worst console Nintendo ever made (Virtual Boy).

Bro the N64 has Ocarina of Time. Thats an automatic win in my book.

But for shits and gigs, N64 had:
Ocarina of Time
Majora's Mask
Star Fox 64
Super Mario 64
Mario Kart
Super Smash
Mario Party
007 Golden Eye
Donkey Kong 64
Banjo Kazooie
Banjo Tooie
Yoshi's Story

^That is a stout list

No. No it's not. That's pathetic. Only about 5 of those games are all time classics. The rest are just good. Other consoles had dozens of all time classics and hundreds of good games.
